
We are looking for Czech interpreters in Middlesbrough to support the growing demand across the healthcare sector, local authority departments, education providers and community support organisations. Czech-speaking interpreters are regularly required across Middlesbrough to assist individuals and families during important appointments and public service interactions.

About the Role
As a Czech Interpreter in Middlesbrough you will help the Czech-speaking community with their healthcare appointments, school meetings, housing consultations and legal discussions across a variety of professional sectors.
Czech interpreters are increasingly required across healthcare organisations including South Tees Hospitals Trust and NHS South Tees Clinical Commissioning Group. Additional interpreting opportunities are also available through North Tees and Hartlepool Trust.
Assignments may commonly involve:
- School Parent and Safeguarding Meetings
- GP and Hospital Appointments
- Employment and Benefits Discussions
- Housing and Tenancy Support Meetings
- Social Care and Welfare Reviews

What you’ll be doing (Scope of Work)
As a Czech Interpreter, you will help the Czech-speaking community and professionals communicate properly during a wide range of appointments and discussions. Your responsibilities may include:
- Helping Czech-speaking individuals during healthcare, education and welfare appointments
- Providing interpreting services across face-to-face, telephone and video assignments
- Handling confidential information professionally.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout all appointments
- Understanding the cultural differences and making sure everything is interpreted correctly
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Fluency in Czech and English
- Relevant interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI or NRPSI (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- Two professional references and an up-to-date CV
- Valid proof of identity
- Previous experience in education, housing and public sector interpretation is an advantage
