We are recruiting Albanian interpreters in Middlesbrough to support the rising demand for interpreting services across healthcare sectors, housing departments and local authority organisations throughout Teesside.

About the Role
As an Albanian Interpreter in Middlesbrough, you will provide professional interpreting support for Albanian-speaking individuals attending healthcare appointments, social care meetings, legal consultations and discussions across a variety of sectors.
Albanian interpreters are increasingly required across healthcare including South Tees HospitalsTrust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. Additional assignments are also available through Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and NHS South Tees Clinical Commissioning Group.
Assignments may commonly involve:
- Safeguarding and Family Support Meetings
- Hospital, GP and Community Healthcare Appointments
- Housing and Tenancy Support Discussions
- Immigration and Welfare Consultations
- Social Care and Vulnerable Adult Reviews
- School, Education and Community Service Meetings

What you’ll be doing (Scope of Work)
As an Albanian Interpreter, you will help Albanian-speaking individuals and professionals communicate effectively during a wide range of appointments and discussions. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting Albanian-speaking individuals during healthcare & employment-related appointments
- Providing interpreting services across face-to-face, telephone and video assignments
- Assisting professionals and service users during formal consultations and discussions
- Handling confidential information professionally
- Interpreting accurately and professionally within a sensitive environment
- Understanding the cultural differences and making sure everything is interpreted correctly
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Fluency in Albanian and English
- Relevant interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI or NRPSI (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- Two professional references and an up-to-date CV
- Valid proof of identity
- Previous experience in healthcare or public sector interpretation is an advantage
