We are currently recruiting Kurdish interpreters in Doncaster to help meet the growing demand for language support services across healthcare, public sector departments, and private organizations. We regularly receive requests for Kurdish-speaking interpreters and continue to welcome applications from qualified professionals throughout the year.

About the Role

As a Kurdish Interpreter in Doncaster, you will support communication between our service users and professionals across public and private sectors.

Interpreting support is frequently required within major NHS organizations in the city, including: 

• The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust
• Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
• Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

There is also regular demand for Kurdish interpreters within immigration and asylum support services across South Yorkshire, as well as ongoing opportunities within legal environments, including regional courts and solicitor appointments. 

We are interested in hearing from qualified and trainee British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters looking for freelance opportunities.

What you’ll be doing (Scope of Work)

As a Kurdish Interpreter, you will support effective communication during important meetings,  consultations, and appointments. Your responsibilities may include: 

• ·         Provide accurate interpretation in different sectors.
• ·         Delivering services through various types of interpretation (face-to-face, video and telephone)
• ·         Maintaining strict confidentiality.
• ·         Supporting clients and professionals in sensitive or complex situations
• ·         Ensuring clear communication while respecting cultural nuances and differences

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Fluency in Kurdish and English
• Relevant interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI or NRPSI (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Two professional references and an up-to-date CV
• Valid proof of identity
• Previous experience in healthcare, housing or public sector interpretation is an advantage 

Please note: This is a self-employed position. You must manage your own HMRC registration and National Insurance.
