About the Role

As a Polish Interpreter in Doncaster, you will help our clients and professionals in communicating effectively across a variety of public and private sector environments.

There is regular demand for interpreting support within leading NHS services across the region, including: The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Interpreting services are also frequently required within: 

• local authority departments
• educational settings
• wider community support services. 

In addition, there is continued demand across immigration and asylum-related services throughout South Yorkshire, alongside regular opportunities within legal environments, including regional courts and legal consultations.

We are actively seeking British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters, including registered and trainee interpreters to join our network.

What you’ll be doing (Scope of Work)

As a Polish Interpreter, you will play an important role in ensuring clear and accurate communication during essential meetings and appointments. Your job includes: 

• Sectors where interpretation is required (medical, legal, technical etc.)
• Etiquettes of the interpretation meetings
• Delivering services through F2F, Remote or on-demand interpretation
• Punctuality, confidentiality and other factors being the priority
•  Supporting client and professionals during situations in the meeting

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Fluency in Polish and English
• Relevant interpreting qualifications such as DPSI, CI or NRPSI (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Two professional references and an up-to-date CV
• Valid proof of identity
• Previous experience in healthcare, housing or public sector interpretation is an advantage 

Please note: This is a self-employed position. You must manage your own HMRC registration and National Insurance.
